Hello and welcome to the FBC nursery page! Our nurseries strive for excellence while being entrusted to care for your children. The nurseries are open and fully staffed for every service. We offer nursery for ages 0 up to 4yrs old. We have exciting and enriching programs on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening specifically for the 3 year olds. Our nursery environment is always warm, inviting, and safe.
We take much care for the children and their well-being here at FBC. Their safety is our top priority! Our nurseries are deep cleaned (with every toy being sanitized) twice a week. We follow and exceed the state of Maryland requirements for cleanliness in a childcare facility. The nursery workers have all undergone background checks and are all active members of our church. We have a reliable, yet simple, sign in and out process which will put your mind at ease while your children are secure in our care. This nursery room is designed to meet the needs of our babies and their moms. Here you'll find age appropriate toys for the babies, and private nursing stations for moms and their newborns.
This "bird themed" room will keep your one year old occupied with plenty of "walk along" toys, and a "Reading Nest" for story time.
Two year olds have a wonderful time in this nursery room, with jungle animals on the wall, a place to color and draw, and plenty of age appropriate toys to play with. Each Sunday and Wednesday they learn Bible stories, play games, and sing Bible songs.
Where is the nursery?
Upon entering the building, you will be welcomed by one of our friendly ushers who will escort you to the appropriate nursery room for your child.
Who do I give my child to?
You will then be greeted by a nursery worker who will assist you through the process of checking in your child.
How does check-in work?
While checking in, you will be asked to sign in your child on the sign-in sheet, including such information as: your child's name, any care taking notes, and a phone number to reach you should your child need you during the service. *In the event that you are needed during the service, you will receive a text message informing you of the need.
What if I bring a bag for my child?
After signing in, you will then pass your child's bag over the door where the nursery worker will label and store the bag in the cubby which coordinates with your child's number on the sign-in sheet.
Child entry
Once your child's belongings are in place, you will then be able to place your child in the nursery. For safety, we ask that you hand the child to the nursery worker over the door to prevent any fingers from being pinched in opening and closing doors.
Child pickup
With your child now in the care of our nursery workers, you will be given a card that has both you and your child's name on it. This card MUST be presented to the nursery worker in order to pick up your child.
What security systems are in place?
For the safety of our members and visitors, Frederick Baptist Church is equipped with a commercial level video security system. We also have a professionally trained Security Ministry team that monitors our facilities (inside and out) during the entire course of each service.
